Hello from the Hawkins

It's been almost a year now since the last family post! Things are good in our home. Carter is in first grade at Pike County and he is six years old Maggie started Pre-K at Pike Acadamy and she is four. Jada turned one in April and stays at home with Mommy and helps out on the farm!

Update...

It seems rather difficult to post lately- three kids, the farm, marriage... you get the picture! The kids are all doing well. Jada will be 6 months old on the 13th and Carter started Kindergarten Aug. 7th. Maggie has too many things to list!! She is in her own world most of the time. Here are a few pic's of the kids... enjoy!

Just to see you Smile...

Jada has been smiling for about two weeks now. We have been unable to capture the gummy grin on camera, until Monday. And as you can see- she really put a show on for us!! Kevin is good at making her smile and had her grinning for about ten minutes! She was sooo cute!!

Memorial Day

Here are the pics from our Memorial Day! We fished all morning and played all afternoon! The kids LOVED the jet ski's! We had had soo much fun! Maggie was not too fond of the fishing though, but she tried. Carter and PaPa caught the most fish. Jada didn't go on the fishing trip- she stayed in the a/c at her Memomma's house. And for dinner we all pigged out on the delicious fish we caught!

Carter's Last Day of School!

It's sooo hard to believe that Carter is all through with his first year of school! Pre-K taught him so many wonderful things (and it gave me a nice break everyday!). He now knows all his letters- he can say them, sound them out, read them and write them! He knows how to write his whole name, he knows how to count to over twenty, and many other wonderful things. The picture in the middle is of Carter and his teacher/helper Ms. Anderson and Mrs. Gay! Carter LOVED them both! I don't think he realize's that school is really over and that he won't see them anymore!




The Pond
This afternoon we all hung out at the pond and went swimming! The kids were so cute swimming around in the water! Their Uncle Mo has a treat for them tomorrow (Memorial Day)- he has put one of their Jet Ski's into the pond and is going to ride them around tomorrow! They are so excited!! We are going to fish all morning and have a family fish fry that night. We should have lots of fun!



Jada turned six weeks old last Thursday!
She weighed 10 lbs. and 1 oz. according to the strawberry scale! I don't think she has gotten even 1/2 an inch longer though! They like to stay short like their daddy! She is beautiful and sweet and perfect!!

the "Swinging Duo"

Carter and Maggie LOVE their new swingset! They were outside yesterday morning at 7:30 am swinging! They are SOO cute playing together on it. Maggie has already had a slight bump in the head though! She ran right into Carter while he was on the glider. Oops! Well, they thoroughly love their new birthday present!

Birthday's Birthday's Birthday's!!!

Well, Carter and Maggie celebrated their 3rd and 5th birthday's yesterday at the Mega Maze in Griffin! They a really good time and got a lot of nice birthday presents! Mom and Dad, Neice and Mo gave them a nice swingset (which still isn't fully put together- it was missing a few screws- just our luck!). As soon as it is done I will post pic's of them playing. They had some of their friends come to the party as well as Rob and Rose and the kids. We all had a nice time! I can't believe that they are getting so big! Next year we will have even MORE April birthday's to add to the party list!
