Floor Pillows

A friend of mine told me how her boys had received a great homemade gift from their aunt. Floor pillows. They are big, fluffy, pillows for the kids to lay around on the floor with. These are great for hardwood floor homes too! They were no sew, and very easy to make with the kids. Maggie actually made one all be herself! Let me show you how cool these are...

Now, you can make these as big or small as you want! They are very versatile. All you need is 2 or 3 yards of fleece (depending how big you want it), poly fiber fill, and scissors! That's it! Use a 50% coupon for the material at Joann's and watch for the fiber fill to go on sale. The total cost for each of our big huge pillows was $13. Not bad! Okay, here are the super easy instructions:

You will need 2 squares of fleece. They can be the same, or like ours which is print on top, solid color on bottom. You want them both the same size. Trim if needed. There really is no wrong size. Lay the two pieces of fleece on top of each other, wrong sides together. Spread it out on the floor.

Cut a 5 inch square from each corner.

Cut 1 inch wide x 5 inch long strips along every side. Make sure to cut through both pieces of fabric!

When strips have been cut all the way around, begin tying them! Double not each top to bottom 1 inch strip. Only tie 3 sides. Leave the 4th side untied.

Time to stuff with fiber fill! We used 2 huge bags to make them extra fluffy!

Our finished floor pillows... The girls LOVE them!!

We made a little smaller one for Maggie.
